Auditions are now open for the 2008-2009 season

Audition General Requirements

A prepared piece is required, and you'll be asked to do some other singing and sight-reading. The prepared piece can be of any genre - choose something you find comfortable and that will give our music director a chance to hear your voice. Please bring 2 additional copies of the sheet music with you, one for the accompanist (if needed), and one for the music director.

Auditioners will also be asked to recite a brief phrase in German. Proficiency isn't required, but is always helpful, given the amount of repertoire sung in this language.

The audition takes about 10 minutes; each audition is unscheduled and first-come, first-served - please choose a convenient time . We look forward to seeing you there!

Note: Our regular rehearsal evening during the year is Monday, 7PM until 10PM at Emmanuel Church on Newbury Street in Back Bay. Minimal exceptions to this schedule will be given at the beginning of each concert rehearsal period. First rehearsal this fall begins on September 15th.
